Municipality of Rotterdam Expands with Compact S3 Parking Meters

22 December 2024

On February 16, we delivered and installed five new machines in the De Esch neighborhood of Rotterdam. The work was carried out by our service technicians Wim and Daijiro. These five machines, of the Compact S3 type, are an addition to the current parking meter system.

Methodology during the project

The project was led by our project manager, Meriam Heesbeen. Meriam places great importance on preparation and communication throughout a project. “Communication during the execution phase is crucial, and clear agreements were made with the client beforehand. We install the machines, including a light pole and signpost, and activate the machine. A test transaction is then performed, and a photo of the ticket is sent to the municipality. This ensures everyone is informed of the progress. After the successful transaction, a fireworks cover is placed over the machine, awaiting connection to the power grid. Once connected, the machines are put into operation.” This meticulous approach is also very convenient for the city of Rotterdam, especially considering the larger number of parking meters to come.

Next steps

These five S3 parking meters mark the beginning of a larger project. A total of 600 parking meters will be installed on the streets. All CWT2120 parking meters in Rotterdam will be replaced with the new Compact S3 parking meters.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration!
